June 1, 2021: the rink will resume normal operations,and all procedures implemented over this past year have been removed.
April 1, 2021: One adult per participant may now enter the facility. That adult must enter at the same time the player enters and sign the sign-in sheet.
December 9, 2020: Masks are now required everywhere: the parking lot, inside the building and on the ice. There is no longer an exception for players under 18 while on the ice. Everyone: Masks on at all times.
November 6, 2020 Reminder: Montgomery County Executive Order 117-20 issued in September requires all persons when outside, to wear a face-covering at all times if they cannot reliably maintain 6 ft. apart from non-family members. These rules apply to each of us as individuals, including in the parking lot while our hockey players are going on/coming off the ice, and while they are inside, and apply to Rockville Ice Arena. In order to continue our good operating record with the county and ensure we keep hockey open for our kids, we are instituting the following parking lot policy:
October 16, 2020: Please see the links below to the updated Protocols for important information for teams playing games at Rockville Ice Arena. The Protocol document references the Sign in Sheet, as well as the Diagrams for Rink 1, 2 and 3, as each rink has specific information regarding staging area for players waiting to get on the ice, area for spectators and procedure for exiting the building.
Important to Note: Masks must be worn at all times: NO EXCEPTIONS, not even for players under 18, while on the ice. Also important to note, no locker rooms will be used: players must come dressed for the ice. Please read the document!
