Developing Champions Hockey Summer Camp

Head Instructor: Mike Weiss
Currently, Mike is the Executive Director for Team Maryland AAA Youth Hockey Association.  Mike has spent several seasons serving as a Head Coach at the Peewee AAA level.  With Team Maryland, Mike led the Peewee Major team to multiple AYHL regular season championships and 3 Semi-Finals appearances in the AYHL playoffs. 

Mike spent the previous 3 seasons with the Montgomery Youth Hockey Association (MYHA) coaching at the Peewee and Midget levels.  During his 3 years at MYHA, his teams have won the CBHL Championship, Maryland State Championship, and a Quarterfinal appearance at USA Hockey Nationals.  Mike has also been a Head Coach for the DC Selects “AAA” Spring Program for the past 7 seasons.  
In addition, Coach Weiss is a Lead Skills and Instructional Coach for several MYHA programs.
Coach Weiss has been a Head Instructor for some of the top Hockey Schools in the area for over 12 years including: Turcotte Stickhandling School, Nothing But Net, Maryland Model, MYHA, and Rockville Ice Arena Initiation Program and more.  In 2011, Mike founded Developing Champions Hockey.

Mike is a USA Hockey Level 5 certified coach.

Age Groups: 
The Camp is for players born between 2006-2017.  Players will be divided into 2 groups based on age & skill. 



Mission:
DC Hockey will provide high-level instruction in a competitive and fun environment.  Kids will leave the camp more confident in their skills and a greater love for the game of Hockey.
 
Camp Features:
-3 hours of on-ice training daily
--Full Ice Scrimmage on Friday (Thursday for June 28th week).
-Low Instructor/Student Ratio
-All Players Receive Camp Jersey

Camp Schedule:

Mite/Squirt: 9:30am-12:20pm On Ice Daily

Peewee/Bantam: 12:30-4:20pm On Ice Daily

Camp Fee: 

June 28th week: $360

August 2nd week: $450

SUMMER CAMP CANCELLATION POLICY: In the event of a cancellation, your deposit would be credited towards the following summer. In extreme cases a refund may be issued, but a $50.00 administration fee would be implemented. Refunds will not be considered regarding any issues, within 2 weeks prior to your chosen week (Credit Only).
