CLASS ETIQUETTE

  • Students should arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled lesson.
  • On the first day of classes, students should locate their name on the printed rosters, then; meet the instructor in the designated area. If skate rental is needed, stop by the skate counter located in the warming room prior to meeting the instructor. The instructor will check the student’s skates for appropriate fit and tell the student what he/she can expect to learn over the course of the next 7-weeks.
  • In subsequent weeks, students should plan to meet their instructor on the ice.
  • Students should give proper respect to the teacher and other students during instruction; this means paying close attention and avoiding talking when the instructor is speaking.
  • Parents should avoid talking to their children during class instruction.
  • Avoid rough play or grabbing at other students.
  • Do not sit or lay on the ice unless at the direction of the instructor.
  • Take advantage of your practice card and attend public sessions - this is the only way to improve on the skills learned.
